Relax in a communal environment
Relax in a communal environment

Starting September 27th, 2025, Acupuncture and Holistic will offer community acupuncture on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. This service provides access to more frequent treatment by reducing the price as compared to private treatments.

Community acupuncture is given in a group setting while seated in a reclining chair, fully clothed, and utilizes points on the arms, legs, head, and ears. It is best suited to treat a single condition such as carpal tunnel syndrome or sinus issues.

During your first treatment, we review your chief complaint and then get you set up in the community room. Approximately 15 needles are inserted and are retained from 15 to 30 minutes. Initially having weekly treatment can help reduce the intensity and frequency of symptoms.

Pain conditions situated primarily in a single joint are well suited for community acupuncture. General anxiety and mild depression can also be addressed using this method of treatment. Wellness and boosting immunity before cold and flu season are also on the list as is poor sleep and recurring headaches.

Some people may need a few private sessions before having acupuncture in a group setting; for example, neck pain and occipital headache.

Call today to find out if community acupuncture is for you!

Be well,

Dr Krista J Essler, DTCM, LAc
